Help put
MS nurse care within reach this Christmas

MS nurse care changes lives

Long-term health outcomes for people with MS are greatly improved with an MS nurse by their side.

People who have the support of an MS nurse experience slower disease progression, lower levels of depression and anxiety, reduced disability, less severe symptoms, and better quality of life.

Right now 1 in 3 people with MS can't access this life-changing support.

Your Christmas gift ensures vital MS nurse care is within reach for those who need it in the year ahead.

Matt's Story

Four years ago I lost the sight in my left eye.  I went to hospital because that's an unusual thing to happen.  There were lots of tests and no one was telling me anything.  Then a doctor came into my room, just as my wife had stepped out for coffee.  He told me I had MS, and then almost as an after-thought, that I'd probably be in a wheelchair in five years.

I was in shock. I didn't know anything about the disease I'd just been diagnosed with.

Then I called MS Plus and spoke to an MS nurse.

She was fantastic, putting everything in terms I could understand. She was able to explain it in really relatable human terms – what it meant, what this disease is, what type of treatments exist.

I ended up speaking to the MS nurse mutliple times - and my wife even sat in on some of those calls.  It really helped us make sense of it all and prepared us for my neurologist appointment.

Without the support of the MS nurse, I would have been completely overwhelmed and very, very lost.

When I think about what my life might look like today if I not had the support of an MS nurse, I realise how lucky I was to have that guidance and expertise when I needed it most.
